London, UK (PRWEB) November 18, 2009

123recipes.com, a leading recipe website, today officially announced its new look that makes it more social with enhanced user experience. With an excellent growth over the past year, the site has drastically increased its user as well as recipe base, all of it being user contributed. The recipe-focused social site, where home cooks share and discover new food experiences through recipes, photos, ratings, profiles, reviews, tweaks and more, is rapidly expanding globally and gaining on its status as one of the leading global recipe site.

The new change brings in the current needs of home cooks, incorporating valuable user feedback. This change makes 123Recipes.com all about Recipes, Cooks, and Healthy Eating.

The recipes section now comes with enhanced user experience, where users can easily find those great popular recipes, but what is exceptional are the experience of browsing, selecting ingredients and easily finding the recipe that they are looking for. There are various ways of browsing recipes including browse by tags, browse by categories, browse by cuisine, browse by ingredients and most importantly browse by healthy eating. If users are looking for a particular recipe then the smart search is the best option.

Cooks section at 123recipes.com brings various social features which allow home cooks to find, connect and share with other cooks from across the globe. Finding cooks is as easy as finding them by their interests and/or region, besides finding from the recipe, photo or review they have posted.

The new look also brings a considerable focus on Healthy Eating, a main section featuring healthy recipes and information around the same. Recipes that are healthy display an icon that denotes this factor. This makes an easy choice for all those who want to try a healthy dinner or even those who follows a continuous healthy diet.

Though some of these changes were visible few months before the official launch, those were in beta to ensure it is accepted well by the existing users of 123Recipes.com. The new look also eliminated few old-web features such as forums and menu creation abilities that were present in the website.

Web 2.0 and Social Networking Features Help Online Dieting Site Grow in Popularity

Arlington, TX (PRWEB) November 1, 2006

my-calorie-counter, the web's fastest growing diet and exercise community, announced today that they have passed a milestone of 100,000 registered users. The site recently upgraded its blogging features, added online fitness videos, and several other enhancements based on member feedback. The addition of these new features, along with recent media coverage, have been the biggest contributors to the increase in traffic.

Social networking upgrades include giving users the ability to use MySpace friendly layouts and themes found across the web to decorate and customize their my-calorie-counter blogs. Members can add before and after photos, videos and music and share their blogs with non-members, friends and family. "Our members gain so much support from each other by having the ability to share their food journals as part of their blogs. It gives new meaning to diet and exercise accountability," says Mike Moorehead, founder of the site.

The new online fitness video tips are presented by one of the site's administrators who is also an AFAA certified fitness instructor. Each video is 3-5 minutes in length and includes demonstrations for 2 different exercises to target certain areas of the body. The members are then encouraged to complete a certain number of repetitions after they learn the correct form from the video. The online fitness video tips will be added on a regular basis and previous videos will be archived on the site.
