Visit my website for printable recipe: heartsafecooking.com. A smooth and creamy asparagus and Great Northern Bean soup that is low in fat and cholesterol. You can have creamy soups! Just need to make it a different way than the standard way. Our base is white cooking wine, non fat and low sodium chicken broth and plain non fat yogurt. Add the spices, bean and veggies and you wouldn't know it wasn't made with heavy cream!

  1. Oops, ran out of room down there lol. if you use canned asparagus, drain, rinse and pat dry with paper towels before you dip and bread them. If using fresh, cut off the fat part of the stems then boil them for 25 mins and pat them dry before dipping and breading them. I LOVE asparagus!

  2. Craig. OMG, it is so good to hear from you! I wish you would have been with your Mom and Armando when they came out here. Ryan and Travis would have loved to see you! Anyway, you can fry! Just use a small amount of olive oil. Get a bowl, separate 2 eggs from the yolk and keep the whites in the bowl. Stir the egg whites and dip your asparagus in it. Then dip the asparagus in whole wheat flour. heat 2 tbls of olive oil in frying pan and fry your breaded asparagus! Yummy!
